Reef Fishing

There are protective and barrier reefs to be found everywhere around Solomon Islands and if you are new to the fishing scene here it is often best to rely on local knowledge for identifying the premier spots to try in the different tide and weather conditions.  If you’re not an expert, you can also expect some fantastic assistance with lure and bait selection and instruction on fishing methods.

River fishing

River fishing in Solomon Islands can be an exciting way to spend your time and you can expect to catch some exciting fish and really challenge your technical skill.  Rivers here usually mean secluded quiet spots that are often close to the surrounding jungle, so insect repellent is an absolute necessity.  Some rivers are best fished from the bank, while there are a number that will easily accommodate a decent size boat.  Look out for Mangrove Jack, Trevally, Sleepy Cod, Spottail Bass and many more.
